UPLIFTING TAMIL SCHOOL CHILDREN’s EDUCATION PERFORMANCE via ICT INTERVENTION
Implementation:
On brainstorming we came to a conclusion to adapt any of the three following options:
Mobile computer laboratory –approximately 20 desktops
2. A centralised place (eg a room in a Balai Raya among a few schools or residential areas) which can cater to the nearby 2-3 schools depending on the numbers in each schools. (targeting 100 students)
3. Utilise an existing IT laboratory with bigger enrolment of students ( eg 300 students) in a Tamil School.
Costing
Mobile Computer Laboratory:
1. Container RM 100,000 including prime –mover
2. Computers RM100,000 ( each RM5000)
Centralised Laboratory
1. Computers – RM100,000
2. Hall : Subjected to hall being provided by spondsors or using Balai Raya Library
3. Existing School IT laboratory in schools with approximately 100 students
( 1 computer for 5 students) Breakdown of RM5000 for each computer

You may be able to afford to send your children to premier schools today, please spare a fraction of the money you are spending on your children to help the unprivileged students of our community.
